TWO STUNNING Saddleworth gardens are opening their gates to the public on June 4 and 5 as part of the National Gardens Festival Weekend.
5 Crib Lane in Dobcross (OL3 5AF) is where Helen Campbell tends her family garden on a high stony hillside.
This challenging garden encompasses hens and wild life ponds, as well as abundant flowers.
Meanwhile, at Moordale Paddock in Huddersfield Road, Diggle, Helen Barnes has created a beautiful garden with a wide range of roses, shrubs and herbaceous perennials.
There’s also eye-catching container planting, and ponds front and rear.
Both gardens supply plenty of inspiration to visitors and will be open on June Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm, offering afternoon teas and plant sales. Entry £3,50, children free.
