FROM MOUNTAINOUS peaks to tropical beaches, the Saddleworth Independent is taken to spectacular spots across the world.
Another breath-taking location was added to the list by Enid Firth, chairman of the Saddleworth Parish Council, and her partner Cllr Bill Cullen during their Christmas holiday to Switzerland.
Pictured here, Enid is enjoying lunch while reading the paper and esisting the temptation to climb the north face of the Eiger in Kleine Scheidegg in the Bernese Alps.
Bill added: “The Eiger was only one of a number of impressive mountains there, most of which were higher but the Eiger looked the most intimidating!”
