Happy New Year. I hope you all had a great Christmas avoiding all the wind and rain we have been having and I wish you all the best for 2014.
Tuesday still sees the weather in the recent pattern of it being windy with some showers, heavy at times. These will ease later. Mild at 9’C.
Wednesday at last sees it start to calm down. The day will see lighter winds, some brightness and only a few showers which may miss a few places. There is a risk of some rain trying to push in from the south but it should stay at bay. Remaining mild at 9’C.
Thursday is a similar day. Light winds and bright spells. However there is still a chance of a rogue shower possible during daylight hours. Turning slightly colder with possibly a frosty night. Highs of 7’C.
Friday starts cold but bright. It’s expected to be cloudier later and rain is likely into the evening. Highs of 8’C.
Saturday and Sunday look reasonably calmer than recent weeks with some early rain then occasional showers. It will remain not as cold as we should be expecting in January, and for now, no sign of any snowfall.
December 2013 Stats: Warmest: 12.6’C; Coldest: 0.4’C; Wettest Day: 10.6mm; Windiest: 55mph; Total Rainfall: 70.4mm.
