Creatures great and small gather for Horseman’s Carol service in Greenfield

CREATURES great and small braved the biting cold to join guests at the annual Horseman’s Christmas Carol in Greenfield.

Dogs, horses and their owners donned an eye-catching array of festive gear as they turned out for the popular event at Friezland horse arena off Manchester Road.

The service was led by the Revd Dr Mike Donmall and also included prayers and readings by Cllr Alan Belmore, Cllr Jamie Curley and Yvonne Carson.

All joined in with the carols, accompanied by Oldham Wind Ensemble, before warming up with seasonal refreshments after the service.

And Santa himself made a special visit to bring Christmas wishes and gifts, arriving on his sleigh drawn by a pony.
