Have your say on First bus services

FIRST BUS are giving people living and working in Saddleworth and Lees the opportunity to shape their future bus services as part of a wide ranging consultation exercise.

The company is consulting with passengers locally during October to seek their views on what they want from the 81A, 180, 184, 350, 353 and 354 in services.First Bus logo

Three drop in sessions will take place so passengers can put forward their views:

  • Lees Library from 12noon to 4pm on Tuesday, October 8
  • Uppermill by the Commercial Hotel from 10.30am to 3.30pm on Saturday, October 12
  • Delph Methodist Church Hall on Tuesday, October 15 from 4pm to 8pm

Passengers who cannot attend a meeting can fill in an on line service form on www.firstgroup.com/manchester or pick up questionnaires from post offices and libraries before the consultation ends on October 25.

First UK Bus PR Manager, Duncan McGraw, said: “We are determined to grow the number of people using buses in the area and will consider what network changes can be introduced following the consultation meetings.

“We have come up with a number of ways for the local community to get their views across to us, either face to face, online or in writing.  We now need local people to take a small amount of time out of their daily routine to respond to us.”
