DENISE Brown, last year’s lady captain at Saddleworth Golf Club, raised £2,160 for her charity Help for Heroes during her year of office.
The money was raised by events including a Rock Choir concern and fashion shows.
She presented £500 last summer and the remaining £1,660 recently.
Denise thanked the lady members for their support and especially Sue Booth who sold so many raffle tickets during the year.
