Linda Lewis Kitchens aims to warm hearts with initiative for Action Oldham Fund

LEADING catering supplier Linda Lewis Kitchens (LLK) is forming a new partnership with Action Oldham Fund that is set to warm hearts.

The company specialises in the world-renowned Cuppone brand as well as other high-quality catering equipment throughout the UK and Ireland.

The pizza specialists supply equipment to projects of all sizes from small, independently owned local restaurants to large pub chains and have a large range of products in their portfolio, from pizza ovens to planetary mixers and slicers.

Now, LLK has pledged to donate £50 to the Action Oldham Fund when any restaurant in the Oldham area with an OL postcodes purchases an oven direct from LLK.

Grace Carr, marketing executive, said: “Team LLK is made up of local people who grew up in and around the Oldham area and are extremely passionate about what happens in our community.

“When the opportunity presented itself to assist Action Oldham with their fundraising, LLK jumped at the chance.”

Team member Chloe Lewis also took on Action Oldham Fund’s Snowden challenge to mark the charity’s fifth birthday.

By climbing Wales’ highest mountain, at 1,085m, she has raised further funds to change local lives.

Action Oldham Fund supports good causes across the borough, from disabled football teams to skills development for care leavers and projects tackling sexual exploitation.

The grants give vital support to the smaller, local groups who are enhancing health and well-being or rebuilding lives affected by poverty, crime, isolation or unemployment.

Clare Taylor, Fund Development Co-ordinator, said: “We have been able to fund more than 100 community projects in the last five years, thanks to the generous support of local people and businesses.

“Smaller groups don’t have the capacity to develop direct connections with business, so the Action Oldham Fund help by seeking to secure resources on their behalf.

“This partnership with Linda Lewis Kitchens will help us to fund more work to change lives across our borough”
