New home for Team Spirit unveiled at fantastic party

POPULAR event management company Team Spirit pulled out all the stops for a party of their own as they unveiled their eye-catching new headquarters.

120 VIP guests including clients, partners, suppliers and local MP Debbie Abrahams enjoyed the ‘Grand Opening Showcase’ evening at the new base on Hill Street, Oldham.

They were treated to music, magic, mind reading and casino games plus drinks and American themed food from Team Spirit’s JT’s Diner.

Ian Taylor, Team Spirit CEO and Founder, and sponsors Etihad and Vas Viceroy presented the grand prize draw to Martyn Barrow – two return flights to Abu Dhabi with Etihad plus a stay at the Vas Viceroy Hotel and a once in a lifetime Jaguar Driving Experience at the Yas Marina Circuit.

The night was an opportunity to show off the transformation of the new headquarters, which is double the office and warehousing space of their previous home in Greenfield.

It took almost six months to meticulously plan the office space, staff areas, break-out meeting rooms and collaborative spaces.

Ian said: “Moving the whole company to our new headquarters has been an enormous project and I can’t pretend it didn’t give me the odd sleepless night!

“However, this was mainly due to the excitement and anticipation of transforming an empty unused warehouse into an awesome and unique HQ for Team Spirit.

EYE-CATCHING: the new space

“I wasn’t prepared to sacrifice my vision and after months of planning and quite a few late nights from our talented creations team, we have a truly outstanding HQ and I am genuinely looking forward to showing it off.”

The base now boasts a ‘Wonderland’ based on Alice in Wonderland and offering a space to serve a quirky afternoon tea events.

There is also a Wild West for 8-12 people, a Pop Art room for 6-8 people with interactive presentation facilities and video conferencing.

For the staff, there’s hot desking in the Dovestones break-out area, a meeting area and canteen called JT’s Diner, and Park Area for company-wide briefings or get-togethers.

There is even a room called ‘The Blank Canvas’ with all the walls painted in white board paint for extreme creativity.

The move has been driven by ambitious plans for continued growth and having the space to design and to deliver the most memorable and meaningful corporate events.

Anna Lancashire, marketing director, added: “We love having visitors so if anyone would like a nosey at what we’ve done or just to say hello, come and visit  and I’ll put the kettle on for you!”
