OLDHAM COUNCIL is inviting residents to do their bit on election day – and get paid for it.
The local authority has paid opportunities available for people to help count this year’s general election votes on Thursday, May 7.
They need people to count votes at the Civic Centre in Oldham from 9pm until the early hours.
The counters will be paid between £60 and £100, dependent on how long they are needed.
No previous experience is necessary and full training will be given.
If you would like to put your name forward or want more information contact elections@oldham.gov.uk or call 0161 770 4719 by Friday 3 April.
