A kind-hearted mum from Diggle has teamed up with popular café Grandpa Greene’s to host a special event for ‘World Kindness Day’.
Bev Ridyard, who has two children under four, has pledged to share kindness with a portion of the population who could always do with a bit of help them through the day – mums.
So, on Monday, November 13, Bev, who owns ‘Inspired By Joseph’ photography is running a kindness event in partnership with Grandpa Greene’s at Ward Lane, Diggle.
From 11-3pm, mums, parents and carers can come along to receive a complimentary digital photo with their child plus free hot drinks with every lunch order.
Play2 in Diggle are also backing the campaign by providing a free play session before or after the kindness event for local mums – simply mention they have been to the event and then have a run around for free!
“In return, all we ask is that you bring an item of clothing that your child has grown out of. All items will then be donated to Barnardo’s,” said Bev.
“Mums care for others and give kindness in bucket loads while often not being kind to themselves or being able to ask others for acts of kindness in return.
“I hold my hand up and say I am one of these mums which has inspired me to create this event!’
Rick Scholes, Sales and Marketing Director at Grandpa Greene’s said: ‘We want to be involved because it is such a great cause.
“We have lots of young parents who visits our ice cream parlour, it is nice to have the opportunity to give something back to them.”
