ALL AGES are invited to Saddleworth Tennis Club for a free family fun day on Saturday, May 6 from 2pm-5pm.
The event, at Saddleworth Cricket, Bowling and Tennis Club on Calf Lane, Greenfield, will include mini tennis for parents and children, adult cardio sessions or the chance to have a knock with your friends or other family members.
No experience necessary, and all equipment will be provided for adults, juniors and tots. All that is needed to be worn is some non marking soles.
The activities will be organised by club coach LTA qualified Sean Stafford who will also be on hand to answer any questions.
Sean runs weekly tots and junior tennis lessons together with adult cardio fitness sessions both during the day and in the evenings.
In addition to the activities, there will be a barbecue and other refreshments, children’s rides and activities and a wooden racket competition.
The afternoon will give the opportunity to everyone to try out playing some tennis and cardio activities. People are welcome to just watch or bring other members of their families.
People will also be able to see the newly re-laid courts and learn about the club and the opportunities it provides. Club members will be on hand to offer any help that is required.
And if anyone wishes to join the tennis club there will be a one-off 25 per cent discount during the afternoon.
The club is also holding a fundraising wine tasting evening on Friday, May 12. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start. The evening will be hosted by Urban Grapevine’s very knowledgeable Alison Wilson.
Tickets cost £16 per person, and include a wide selection of fine wines and a light supper.
Tickets available from Rebecca Ragg by calling 07786 235471 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or from the Club bar.
