Saddleworth IT firm tackles dementia in charity football match

A Saddleworth IT consultancy is marking its fifteenth year in business with a charity football match to raise funds to tackle dementia.

On September 13, 2018 Aspect IT, based in Springhead, will go head to head with fellow Oldham-based business Web Applications UK in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, which helps people affected by dementia.

The five-a-side match, which will take place at Soccer Factory in Rochdale and kick-offs at 7pm, is a celebration of the firm’s fifteenth birthday as well as raising funds for the charity.

The Alzheimer’s Society is an organisation close to the heart of Ian Howarth, one of Aspect IT’s directors, whose family has recently been affected by the disease.

Guests are invited to watch the match and make a small donation to the cause. Aspect IT will also donate £15 for every goal scored, up to a maximum of £200.

Established in 2003 by directors Peter Dorotiak and Ian Howarth, Aspect IT provides an array of IT services to small and medium sized businesses across Greater Manchester and the north of England.

Since its inception, the firm has assisted hundreds of SMEs with IT support, network security, web design, e-commerce and software development.

Peter commented: “We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate the last fifteen years as a team, doing something we all enjoy.

“It’s great to be able to get out of the office and do activities together outside of work.

“We’re confident we’ll be the winning team of course, but the main thing is to bring our team together while raising money for a fantastic cause.”

Donations for the event can also be given through Aspect IT’s JustGiving page
