Sahar International Short Film Festival returns to Delph for second year

AN EXCITING programme of international short films is coming to Delph for one day only this month.

2016 Festival PosterOn Saturday, April 23 the second Sahar International Short Film Festival will be held at the Millgate Arts Centre to thrill audiences from 3pm-8pm.

There will be a range of international short films as well as a competition featuring contemporary Iranian Cinema short films.

Then a week later on Saturday, April 30 there will be a second screening day at Oldham Library Performance Space of the competition international short films from 2pm-4pm.

The audience will be invited to vote for the best films before a presentation of the awards.

The Festival is directed by award-winning filmmaker Mandana Ansari, from Lees, who is excited to bring a wide variety of films and add a second day after last year’s success.

Mandana said: “The Sahar International Short Film Festival returns with a new category: “Contemporary Iranian Cinema.

“This year we have organized a second screening day for an international short films competition and presentation of awards.”

Tickets for either day are available on the door and cost £5 for the general public or £3 for children. More details can be found on the Festival website or email sisff2016@gmail.com
