AN outdoor rock climbing taster session for beginners and anyone who has climbed indoors and would like to experience climbing outdoors on rock is being offered by UProjects.
Limited to eight places to guarantee a great experience, the event at Dovestone takes place on Saturday, March 24 from noon to 4pm.

Meeting at the main car park at Dovestone, it will start with a steep 30-minute walk up to the gritstone crag that is situated with tremendous views over the Chew Valley and surrounding moorland.
UProjects’ qualified climbing instructors will set up the ropes on suitable climbing routes and show you the correct and safe use of climbing equipment. There will be an opportunity to climb several different routes and they will be supervising to ensure those attending have a safe and exciting climbing session.
It is open to anybody over the age of 12 and all equipment will be provided, but you will need to wear suitable clothing.
This event is subject to suitable conditions and in the event of bad weather will be rescheduled.
Rock climbing is a great way to discover the outdoors, and the wonderful landscape that lies on the doorstep.
Organisers say confidence, trust and responsibility are some of the benefits young people will achieve.
