3D DYNAMOS kicked off their Huddersfield and District League, division three campaign in style following a 4-1 derby win at Moorside.
They were 1-0 ahead after 90 seconds of the new season as debutant Ewan Bezer ran the length of the field and then played a ball into the box that Zack Barton didn’t have to break stride for as he fired home.
After half an hour, Ben Lavin found himself in acres of space and slid the ball into Barton for his second of the game and gave the 3D some breathing space.
It was 3-0 after 59 minutes with a solo goal for Lavin before Danny Laithwaite curled home the fourth after 87 minutes following sublime pass from man-of-the-match Adam Cuff. In between that Moorside got a consolation for their efforts.
The reserves also made a winning start triumphing 5-0 at Hade Edge reserve division three of the Huddersfield and District League.
The goals came from Charlie Harrison (2), 16-year-old debutant Liam Wild, Keitel Howarth and James Parker.
3D Dynamo ‘A’ lost 2-1 at Cumberworth ‘B’ in reserve division four, Will Beaumont scoring their goal.
After two second-place finishes in the last two tournaments, 3D Blues U9s triumphed in the JLFCA Football Festival.
They only lost one group stage game all day and won the semi-final on penalties and then went on to win the final with a convincing win.
Everyone played well but there were stand-out performances from Ruben Strahand, Ryan Taylor and Jacob Fallon.
3D Dynamos runs a soccer school for children aged between four and six and football teams from U7s upwards.
