3D DYNAMOS this year reach an important milestone as the local football club celebrates its 25th birthday.
And the club – 3D relates to Delph, Dobcross and Denshaw – has a huge celebratory event planned for Saturday, April 29.
Officials have hired SportsDirect.com Park, Oldham Athletic’s home ground, for five hours.
The idea is all 16 of the team, ranging from U7s to open age, will be given an opportunity to play on the pitch between 9.30am and 2.30pm.

First-team manager Steve Linthwaite, who also co-ordinates the club’s open age football, said: “We have hired the whole ground and each team will get to play and experience what it is like to use the changing rooms and run on to the pitch.
“We are also going to assemble all the sides on the pitch for a giant team photo.”
3D Dynamos has certainly evolved since Val and Dave Broadbent formed a junior team in 1992 for their son David to play in.
The first team plays in division three of the Huddersfield League and is chasing back to back promotions. But their hopes of going up were dented after being held at a 2-2 draw at second-placed Moorside.
3D, currently fourth, established a 2-0 lead through goals from Danny Laithwaite and Kane George in the opening period.
Moorside hit back with goals after 79 and 93 minutes to snatch a point.
“We are just about hanging on in there for a shot at back-to-back promotions, but probably need to win all four of our remaining games,” explained Steve.
