KIND-HEARTED WORKERS at a top Saddleworth building and construction company are juggling their busy schedules with rigorous training for a charity triathlon.
Three staff members at Oldfield Construction, which is headed by Andy and Stewart Potts, are preparing hard for the event in June in Nantwich to raise money for Cancer Research.
But they must fit their challenging training programme around the demands of the business, which is taking on an increasing number of home projects and commercial contracts.
The 21-year-old company is also looking forward to teaming up again with Vic Fletcher and Richard Shuttleworth from ‘Equilibrium Architects’ following great reports on projects carried out together.
Renowned for high-quality workmanship and being timescale and budget sensitive, Oldfield’s team of eight offers an intimate service working with local trusted electricians, plasterers, and plumbers.
As the business flourishes they have taken on two apprentices, who will work on both large construction contracts and smaller home projects with the company.
Current start-to-finish projects include a barn conversion and renovation in Diggle, and a loft conversion and underground gym in Wilmslow – guiding clients along every step of the way.
The company also prides itself on its eco-friendly approach, making cost affective improvements to buildings and using energy-saving new build techniques to reduce energy bills.
Oldfield’s work ranges from home improvements, including extensions, conservatories, patios and kitchens, to commercial contracts of new builds, renovations, and conversions.
