Any sign of summer? Your Saddleworth weather snapshot

Meteorological summer is here but no heatwave or BBQ smell in the air.

We even missed out on the heat at the weekend. I’m hopeful of some notably warm and dry weather mid-month but as usual, it’s a way off and our British Weather is ever-changing.

Thursday: Low pressure close by to our east so showers likely, some heavy and slow-moving with a risk of thunder but they will be very scattered. Other than that, bright spells. Max 16°C

Friday: Sunny spells becoming hazy late-morning as cloud thickens from the south and rain will arrive for the afternoon with some heavy bursts later. Max 16°C

Weekend: Showery.

Saturday: Yesterday’s rain clears quickly to bright spells and showers, which could be thundery. Windy. Max 14°C

Sunday: Bright spells and showers but these should be well-scattered and less windy. Feeling a little warmer. Max 16°C

Outlook: Unsettled at first with the showery theme continuing but hopefully drier as the week progresses and becoming warmer towards mid-month.
