
GREEN-FINGERED RESIDENTS gathered at the Civic Hall in Uppermill to receive their awards for this year’s Saddleworth in Bloom competition.
Businesses and individuals had showcased their spectacular handiwork across the community as they competed in seven different categories: large, medium, small, container, large and small community garden and Best Blooming Pub.
The best of the bunch were picked by Chairman of the Saddleworth Parish Council Cllr Enid Firth along with Cllrs Bill Cullen, Pat Lord and David Caddick and local gardening expert Frank Ashton.
And the prize winners, who were listed in August’s Saddleworth Independent, received their certificates at the Civic Hall from Cllr Enid Firth (centre).
