ATHLETE Ayla Hewitt’s remarkable run of success has continued.
The 15-year-old from Diggle won three gold medals at the Oldham schools’ athletics championship.
Ayla, who is in year 10 at Saddleworth School, won gold in the 200m and long jump. She has struck gold in both events each time since year seven.
She was also a member of the winning relay team and helped Saddleworth School become overall year 10 girls champions.
Ayla, a former pupil at Holy Trinity, Dobcross, is an accomplished athlete having also represented Oldham schools.
She is also a member of Sale Harriers and was part of their team that won the national final last year beating teams from all over the country.
She also collected a silver in the 300m and also a silver in the 4 x 300m relay.
Ayla was spotted by a member from Sale Harriers competing in the Saddleworth Village Olympics aged nine and invited down to train with them.
