Babyballet dance to £7,000 to help children’s charity Tommy’s

BABIES and toddlers galloped, jumped and boogied their way to £7,000 and counting for children’s charity Tommy’s at a special Peppa Pig themed danceathon.

Hosted by babyballet at Saddleworth Rangers rugby Club in Greenfield, the sessions saw girls and boys aged six months to six years take on the fundraising event in their weekly dance classes.

They went on an imaginary journey with Princess Peppa from their classroom to a fun filled tea party and completed five challenges throughout the lesson.

Jordan and Sally Makin, who are franchisees of babyballet Oldham, Saddleworth, Middleton, Rochdale and Burnley, were delighted that their kind-hearted groups helped to contribute more than £7,000 to the cause.

Jordan said: “Myself, Sally and all of our fantastic babyballet teaching team are just so proud of the huge sum that has been raised for Tommy’s Charity.

“Our target was to reach £5,000 and to have topped £7,000 already with donations still coming in just proves how much this charity, and what it stands for, means to people.

“We have around 600 children per week coming to our classes and who took part in the Danceathon, which means we have the same number of parents too.

“Without their huge support, generous donations and really getting behind our Danceathon it just wouldn’t have been possible to achieve this huge sum and we’re so grateful!”

Together 24,000 babyballet stars from across the country were aiming to raise £500,000 to help fund Tommy’s research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.

The charity funds four research centres that investigate causes and find treatments for miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. Tommy’s also provides advice and support from a team of midwives for all parents-to-be to help them have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

• Babyballet classes give your child the chance to dance, gain confidence and shine, in a fun, caring and supportive environment.

  1. Just like your daycare center you can also go for daycare omaha ne because they are a renowned child care center. Now you may think it is for sure they will demand a very high amount of cost but you are wrong because that daycare center always takes a very low amount of cost.
