FOUR BADMINTON teams from Saddleworth School represented Oldham in the Greater Manchester Schools’ Games at The Amaechi Centre, Manchester.
They played some “fabulous” badminton in the singles and doubles according to sports teacher Richard Meadowcroft who added they were “unfortunate” not to progress to the semi-finals as all four teams finished as runners-up in their respective groups.
KS3 girls were represented by Maddi Potter-Farrants, Amelia Godley, Elie Matthews and Zara Mirza.
The boys in the KS3 team were Max Godley, Jack Foster, Daniel White, Finley Killan and Joe Aston.
Danni Rhodes, Daisy Shepherdson, Emma Brewster and Yasmine Roebuck were in the KS4 girls’ line up.
Adam Jones, Luke Taylor, Matthew White and Archie Duncan made up the KS4 boys.
