A POPULAR beauty and skincare therapy company in Dobcross is marking its second anniversary in style by doubling its workforce to keep up with clients’ demands.
Beautify Saddleworth was set up two years ago by Vikki Nash, a fully qualified beauty therapist of 14 years, to offer treatments in a relaxing and professional purpose-built room.
And now as she prepares for her big birthday celebrations in September, Vikki has taken on fully qualified make-up and tanning beautician Megan Steele, 20, to help her meet customers’ needs.
She revealed: “At first when I set up it was a bit of a secret hideaway and people just came by word of mouth. A lot of people still don’t know we are here because we are quite tucked away.
“But that can be a good thing when you come in for a tan or facial and want to go home in your pyjamas and don’t have to walk out onto the high street!
“Now we’re really growing so I’ve taken on a new apprentice. Megan was born in Delph but grew up in Cork in Ireland and has a passion for make-up for proms, weddings and special occasions.
“We’ve given her a warm welcome back to Saddleworth and she has lots of special offers on make-up, tanning, manicures and pedicures to get you ready for the summer.”
Beautify Saddleworth treatments range from nails, eye treatments, waxing and tanning to massages and facials, using the highest quality products for fantastic results.
They are an official stockist of CND Shellac nail polish, Biosculpture Gels, L A Tan, Shrinking Violet inch-loss wraps and Dermalogica products and will soon be taking on Lycon waxing system and HD brows.
And Vikki, who also teaches beauty therapy part-time at Kirklees College, is Saddleworth’s only Dermalogica Skincare expert – and one of less than 100 across the country.
She added: “We are not just a salon with beauty products – we are all about skincare too.
“A lot of my customers are in their 40s and 50s and come in concerned about aging – and then at the other end we treat teenagers too, who might have spotty skin.
“We have a special Dermalogica range for teenagers, which is great to get rid of spots on your face or back and get you ready for summer. It can be a huge boost for teenagers to get their skin sorted.”
