Best of brass comes to Saddleworth for Whit Friday contests

HUNDREDS OF bands from around the world descended on Saddleworth for the annual Whit Friday Brass Band contests.

The villages each hosted their own contests, with the talented Brighouse and Rastrick being crowned winners overall.

Guests from abroad included Tanunda Town Band from Adelaide, Australia and Brass Band Feldmusik Zell, Brass Band Lengnau, and Brass Band Neuenkirch, all from Switzerland.
