AFTER 20 years of helping children to find the right fit to put their best foot forward, a top shoe shop in Lees is still going strong.
Jackie Buckley took over Pitter Patter at St Thomas’s Parade two decades ago and since then has sold thousands of pairs of shoes to children of all ages.
Now, as they celebrate their birthday on Saturday, October 29, Jackie is delighted to still be offering an extensive and developing range of shoes.
She is helped by Gill, who has worked at the shop alongside her, for 18 years and Jackie’s daughter Melissa who has worked there for four years.
They are also Startrite trained shoe fitters, measuring and fitting the old fashioned way by hand and with common sense to find the perfect pair for their customer.
Jackie said: “Pitter Patter always have a massive range of shoes in stock all year around and we love welcoming customers old and new.
“Over the year’s we’ve seen little ones grow up who are now bringing in their own little ones to buy shoes, which is great.
“A great big thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years. Residents are wonderful at supporting our local, independent business and it really is much appreciated.”
Three years ago, Jackie added her ladies shoe business, Le Paradis, into Pitter Patter and the shop was rebranded as Paradis@pitterpatter.
Jackie added: “We will be delighted to see as many customers to help celebrate our birthday – but don’t wait until the actual day, drop in any time to see our new stock.
“Currently we have our fabulous autumn and winter collections in for children and ladies so come and have a look.”
