Bloomin’ great at 89th Delph Show

EYE-CATCHING and brilliant creations were showcased once more at the 89th annual Delph Flower Show at the Methodist Church Hall.

Green-fingered growers and creative crafters got stuck in to take part in the host of flower, vegetable, produce and craft categories, as well as number of categories for children.

Cllr Nikki Kirkham, chairman of Saddleworth Parish Council, presented the prizes before exhibits were raffled off to the highest bidders.

Pam Preston, one of the organisers, said: “We had a good day, great weather and despite the Rushcart on the same day we got lots of visitors.

“The judges – John McCombs, Andy Winterburn, Judith Austin – had a very hard job.
