A BODY has been recovered from a beauty spot in Greenfield, sparking an investigation into the circumstances.
Police were called to Dove Stone Reservoir at around 10.40am on Monday, February 24 following reports that a body had been seen.

Officers, supported by an underwater search team, went to the scene and a cordon was put in place to close off the area.
A statement issued by Greater Manchester Police confirmed: “The body of a white man, who appears to be middle aged, has been recovered from the water.
“A post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
“At this stage it is not known how the person came to be in the water and an investigation into the circumstances has now begun. It is not believed to be suspicious at this time.”
