KNOWSLEY Junior School in Springhead was turned into an art exhibition as pupils displayed 360 pieces of work for their parents and peers.
The budding young artists were celebrating famous artists of the past and present while incorporating the world around them with the use of elements.
The exhibition, organised by teacher Caitlin Barrass, encouraged students to create their own interpretations of famous works by using the original artworks and music as inspiration.
Students looked at artists such as Turner and Hockney and focused on musical pieces including Night on Bear Mountain, Firebird and Lark Ascending.
Each year group was asked to focus on a specific element and had earth, air, water and fire to choose from. They were then asked to create their artwork with their chosen element as a theme.
Then on a sunny Friday afternoon, the students proudly displayed their artwork in the playground.
Parents had the option to buy their children’s work, which was framed by staff, to raise funds for the school.
