Cats running out of lives without help from Comedy Night

GET ready to smash a few plates, down a few Ouzos and dance like Zorba… all for a good cause.

The Milan Bar, Lees is hosting a Greek night on Friday, October 13 – which is lucky for abandoned and malnourished cats hundreds of miles away on a Mediterranean island.

All proceeds raised from the night of food, wine and entertainment will be donated to English woman Marilyn Williams who has dedicated her life to looking after the cats of Zakynthos.

The evening has been organised by Davina Hanes, author and assistant manager at Oldham Cats Home.

“The work Marilyn does is incredible,” says Davina who has written two books about blind rescue cat, Little Jack.

“I have been to Zakynthos and some of the sights are just awful.”

Davina recently raised £600 for the Cats Home on Saxon Street, Middleton from a book signing for her latest work, the ‘Return of Little Jack.’

Tickets for the Greek Night cost £15. For more details call Davina on 07733 366493 or Milan Bar: call 07856 403570 or email: milan@pennine dining.com
