THE CAKE, the venue, the flowers, the car, and of course the dress… there are many big decisions that go into making a bride’s special day the best of her life.
At the unique venue’s fayres, brides-to-be can browse over three floors of stalls to take their pick of the goods on offer from local businesses.
Hazlenut Bakery, from Delph, and Dhalika Couture Cakes tickled the taste-buds of visitors at last month’s event with their colourful and decorative speciality cakes.
Afternoon Teaques added a vintage touch with its china crockery and accessories for hire, while Style Wedding Car Hire offered classy vehicles to help the big day run smoothly.
Jewellery, make-up and hair designs from specialists such as The Beauty Spot are essentials on a bride’s wish list.
And wedding favours by Dr Kershaw’s, which include poems, soft toys and wooden animals, delight guests as well as raising proceeds for the hospice.
But not only does Talking Point help brides choose their wedding essentials, they also cater for everything from the registrar and wedding ceremony through to the reception.
And this mix of the 1889 church’s original features with the bright and spacious redevelopment is what Events Manager Adele Buckley believes makes it so special.
“Talking Point is the ideal wedding venue for the couple that want something ‘different’, something all of their guests will remember – a bit of a ‘talking point,” she said.
“We’re contemporary and stylish, have fabulous views across Saddleworth and a stunning interior inside. There’s no other venue like us in the area.
“We are flexible, friendly and our prices are competitive and we strive for couples to have the day they’ve dreamt of.
“We can provide the wedding ceremony, the wedding breakfast and the evening buffet or just one of those things.
