KIND HEARTED Andrew Watson has come up with a fundraiser in the wake of the Manchester bomb last month which is proving a treat…
Andrew, 28, who works at bistro ‘Bed’ in Uppermill, thought he’d tickle the taste buds of his discerning customers.
Helped by Ruth Lord, a local lady, the pair have produced dozens of tasty, delicate pink cupcakes, and have been doing a roaring trade selling them in Bed.
So far the sale of the cakes has raised more than £500 for children and families affected by the Manchester bombing in May.
“The cupcakes have gone down a treat,” said Andrew. “We’ve got great, generous-spirited customers and they all wanted to help. The biggest amount paid was £100 for eight cakes.
“I will be taking all the money to local hospitals around Manchester.”
