DAVID WAGNER has turned up the heat on crisis-torn West Brom by telling Alan Pardew, ‘All the pressure is on you because you spend more!’
Huddersfield head to the Hawthorns tomorrow (Sat) aiming to go 10 points clear of the bottom-placed Baggies.
Albion’s plight has been worsened by their recent off-field troubles which saw four senior players accused of nicking a taxi in Barcelona.
Pardew himself is coming under growing scrutiny after managing just one win since replacing Tony Pulis three months ago.
And Terriers boss Wagner insists the pressure is on Albion because they have a much bigger wage budget than his side.
He said: “For sure Alan didn’t like what happened last week with the incidents, but it’s West Brom’s problem and doesn’t bother us.
“All the teams that are engulfed in this battle to stay up, the pressure is on.
“There are clubs with bigger names and much bigger budgets where the pressure is even bigger – but we want to stay up. This is what we have fought for since pre-season.”
