GLASSES WERE raised in honour of a chorister as he celebrates 50 years with the Saddleworth Male Voice Choir.
Members and wives of the choir gathered at the Hare and Hounds in Uppermill to mark Joe Buchanan’s achievement.
Joe, who is a first tenor, has sung in around 600 concerts and almost 50 Messiah performances with the choir over the decades.
He has also enjoyed tours abroad to Germany, Holland, Slovenia, Spain and Gibraltar and Lake Como in Italy.
Choir President Malcolm Hill presented Joe with an engraved glass plaque and his wife Doreen received a bouquet of flowers.
