A COMMUNITY-RUN library in Delph is appealing for new volunteers to help secure its future.
Delph Library, which relies entirely on volunteers to operate, is looking for residents who can spare just three hours to help keep the much-valued village facility open.
Volunteers are needed for shifts on Tuesdays from 2pm to 5pm or Fridays from 10am to 1pm.

Those unable to commit every week can still get involved, with the option of volunteering on alternate weeks.
The library plays an important role in village life, providing access to books and a welcoming community space.
Organisers are encouraging local people to give a little of their time to help ensure the service continues for residents of all ages.
With the library run solely by volunteers, additional support is essential to maintaining its opening hours.
Anyone interested in helping is encouraged to get involved and support this important community resource.
