Delph set to Party in the Park once more

A FANTASTIC line-up is in store when the popular ‘Party in the Park’ event returns to Delph on Saturday, September 22.

The Flatline

BBC Radio Manchester’s Mike Sweeney will be compere for the event at Delph Cricket Club, and there will be music from a host of local and national bands.

Phil Beckwith, from the organising Wake Up Delph committee, revealed: “Top of the bill is possibly the UK’s number one Queen tribute, Mercury, who are performing here for the second time.

“They blew the house down last time and it promises to be another great performance.

“We will have first appearances for The Flatline and top Lionel Richie tribute act Malcolm Pitt.

“Also performing will be local favourite Neon, top Robbie Williams tribute Danny Lowry, who is back by popular demand, and dynamic six-piece ska band Ska Britannia.

“And Delph Band will round off the evening with a Last Night of the Proms finale before a fantastic fireworks display.

“It’s a fantastic programme and we’re really looking forward to the event and hopefully everyone will come along to appreciate the great music we have locally.”

Tickets will be on sale from May 29 from Uppermill or Delph Post Office, or Delph Cricket Club.
