X FACTOR STAR and Saddleworth local Christian Burrows has released his debut single as he takes on the music industry.
Denshaw resident Christian, 20, released the new track ‘Two Again’ on June 21 and has also been playing locally, including at The Farrars Arms in Grasscroft.
The young musician began his journey at the age of 14, and impressed judges and the public alike when he appeared on ITV’s hit show The X Factor in 2016.
He made it to the boot camp stage of the show at the house of judge Nicole Scherzinger, who was mentor to the show’s ultimate winner, Matt Terry.
Christian said: “My auntie took me to see Ed Sheeran for my 16th birthday. After that I got my first guitar and I haven’t put it down since.
“The X Factor didn’t just give me a platform but it gave me the confidence to know that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
“I love playing in Saddleworth because it’s so close to where I live now, I’ll always be doing little bits around here.”
The Big Day Out Festival in Maidstone is Christian’s next big performance where he will be performing alongside the likes of Louisa Johnson and Diversity.
