DETECTIVES INVESTIGATING the vicious assault of a 28-year-old man in Oldham have released CCTV images of three males they wish to speak to in connection with the attack.
The assault took place at around 12.20am on Thursday 13 August 2015, outside the Goldstar Takeway on Yorkshire Street in Oldham.
The victim was walking along the road when he was approached by the group of offenders, who launched into a savage attack.
They struck him repeatedly around the head and body, inflicting multiple facial fractures and a fractured skull upon the helpless victim before running off.
Detective Constable Andrew Swettenham said: “We are very keen to speak to the young men shown in these CCTV images.
“I realise that this assault happened some time ago, but that will not prevent someone who recognises these men to come forward and inform police about who they are.
“This assault was brutal, unprovoked and only through sheer luck did not result in a more serious outcome given how bad his injuries were.
“Anyone who recognises these males should contact police as a matter of urgency.”
