MUSIC FEVER is about to hit the streets of Diggle as the annual Blues Festival returns for another year.

The event will be staged earlier than usual this year on Thursday, June 5 to Sunday, June 8 so it does not clash with Whit Friday and the FIFA World cup – so there’s no excuse to miss out.
Eleven bands and artists will sing their heart out over the weekend in various venues around Diggle at separate times so as well as hearing some sweet music you can tour the village along the way.
Artists playing are Kent Duchaine, Sons of the delta, Madcats Blues Trio, Garron Frirth, Backwater Blues Band, Dani Wilde and Todd Sharpville, Mojo Rising, Angelo Palladino, Half Deaf Clatch, Blue Swamp and John Otway.
The festival will finish with a closing ceremony with a sing song and Diggle’s national anthem for all the revelers to get involved.
There will be free entry to all venues but people attending can make a donation if they wish.
Organiser Dave Wood said: “Venues rely on this festival each year to bring in some much needed trade.
“It is also nice to source bands and artists. Every year the feedback is brilliant, people really enjoy it so everyone turn up and enjoy some really cool jeans-in-the-fridge blues music for free.”
