TWO CREATIVE Diggle businesses are offering exciting chances for Saddleworth School students to get hands on at an array of new sessions.
Sub Pressure Studios, at Warth Mill, are launching courses in drums, percussion, guitar, keyboard, voice, dance and a DJ masterclass for those interested in music.
Pupils will be taught by professional musicians who perform in bands or are involved with stage shows and music production.

The courses are organised by Gill Pearce and her son Chris who are thrilled to offer this opportunity to inspire and support pupils’ personal interests and curriculum needs.
Sub Pressure Studios threw open its door last year to offer purpose built studios and rehearsal spaces for monthly rental and was brightly decorated by local artist Laura Bennett.
Chris, a sound engineer, said: “I have always wanted to support the huge amount of young musical talent in Saddleworth.
“This opportunity introduces them to a professional environment.”
Meanwhile nearby WoolyKnit, who have previously organised teaching events for local schools, will be offering courses that experiment with wool fibres.
Experienced designers and craftspeople will teach pupils and help them create their own ideas in felt making, crochet and knitting.

Kath Bingley, the course organiser, said: “We are pleased to offer creative workshops to pass on traditional crafts that may have skipped a generation.”
The courses will be available as part of Saddleworth School students’ enrichment programme on Wednesday afternoons during term-time.
And free taster sessions will give pupils a flavour of what’s on offer on Wednesday, July 29 and Wednesday, August 19 from 1.30pm to 3pm at the premises in Warth Mill.
Sue Palfrey, youth development officer for Saddleworth and Lees, welcomed the link up with the businesses and gave the new courses her full backing.
“I am really excited young people have the opportunity to use Sub Pressure Studios to explore their musical talents and develop new skills,” she said.
“And working together with Woolyknit who are offering craft courses, these businesses offer a range of activities to interest and challenge young people.”
