Diggle photographer Bev Ridyard is inviting parents to get involved in her free, six-week photo challenge for children of school age to help battle the boredom this summer holidays.

As a mum of two, Bev has been listening to parents talk about how tough the school holidays can be and she decided to offer an inexpensive way of giving children something to focus on.

Bev said: “My two children aren’t of school age just yet but I remember always telling my parents how bored I was in the summer holidays!

“In reality, being a parent is super tough so if this gives mums and dads just half an hour’s peace a week, I will be glad I have helped!

“It is super simple for families to get involved.  Parents or guardians just need to register to receive a weekly email.

“Each Monday a theme will be provided for children to interpret. Parents then simply need to reply to the email with their child’s best photograph. I can’t wait to see some of the great artistic talent in the local area!”

At the end of the six weeks, one winner will receive a complimentary photo session and personal tips from Inspired By Joseph Photography, which is run by Bev.

Bev has built up an incredible album herself of 1,250 family photos after taking one photograph every day since she found out she was having her first son, Joseph, in 2014.

Bev added: “My passion is to experience, share and record happiness with other people through the art of photography. It’s more than just taking photos, you must showcase them to the world.”
