DOBCROSS Youth Band are attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest brass band rehearsal.
They will take on the attempt on Friday, March 30 when they will start their practice at the band club at 12.30pm and continue throughout the day and night, attempting to break 24 hours.
This year marks 30 years of Dobcross Youth Band and many of the top brass bands in the country have had members who are former players of the band.

The event is also a fundraiser for the band’s trip to France and Belgium this summer, with the highlight of performing at the Menin Gate.
