THERE is festive fun for everyone as Dovestone Women’s Institute holds its Family Christmas Markets on Sunday, December 8.The event, at Saddleworth Rangers Rugby Club in Greenfield, will include more than 30 stalls with a large variety of Christmas gifts and goodies.
There will also be a food marquee and the WI Café so you can treat yourself to a hot chocolate, mulled wine or hog roast.
Rudolph’s Railway will take you to visit Santa and his Elf Squad in his magical grotto and Delph Youth Band and Saddleworth Family Choir will entertain throughout the afternoon.
Dogs are welcome, with an undercover area and drinks for them. The event runs from 10am and is raising funds for Oldham Mountain Rescue Team.
Then to celebrate the first year of Dovestone WI, a members’ Christmas Party Night Out takes place at The Royal George in Greenfield on Friday, December 13, replacing the meeting on December 18.
Dovestone WI meets on the third Tuesday of the month at The Royal George in Greenfield, starting at 7.30pm. Register in the downstairs bar from 7pm. Donation required of £1 for members and £3 for non-members.
New members and guests are very welcome. Guests may attend two meetings before joining. The annual subscription of £43 is due at the meeting on January 21.
The Monday Meet Up on the first Monday of the month at the Reclamation Room is free for members and £2 for non-members. There is a craft area, a book club from 7pm-8pm followed by The Dovestone Divas singers from 8.15pm-9.15pm or just chat over coffee and cake.
