EMERGENCY services including West Yorkshire Air Ambulance were scrambled to the scene of a road traffic accident on Manchester Road in Marsden earlier today (June 5).
The busy A62 was closed in both directions for several hours following reports a car careered off the road close to the former Carriage House Pub.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service said: “We were called out at 10.29am. Crews from Rastrick, Huddersfield and Slaithwaite attended.
“A woman in her 70s was extricated from a small vehicle and taken to Leeds General Infirmary.”
The road has since re-opened.
