He appeared at a brief hearing at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court on Monday, December 10 when he denied the charges.

Jordan, who lives at Tamewater Court, Dobcross, has been granted unconditional bail and is set to return to the court for the trial on July 29, which is expected to last three or four days.

The 53-year-old actor, who plays Daz Spencer in Emmerdale, was charged following an incident on July 1.

It is alleged he got into a fight with Andy Potts, 67, at a Saddleworth pub and Jordan then followed Potts and his partner to Shaw Hall Bank Road where he was stopped by police. Potts was treated at hospital for facial injuries after the incident.

Jordan joined the popular ITV soap in the role of Daz in August 2017, following a short-term role in 2014, and he has also appeared in Heartbeat, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks.
