A YOUNG entrepreneur is helping locals kick their smoking habits after opening an electronic cigarette store in the heart of the community.
Sean Donnellan, 24, opened the doors of Vape Elite on Uppermill High Street just last month and already has a stream of regular visitors queuing up for his products.
Aiming to offer a healthy smoking alternative to cigarettes, Sean has travelled worldwide to find the best sources for his goods, as well as setting up his own brand from scratch.
E-cigarettes replace traditional cigarettes and do not contain the same tar, carbon monoxide or toxins – and are estimated to bring savings of around £40 a week for someone smoking 20 a day.
The e-cigarette changes a nicotine-based liquid into a vapour that is inhaled, giving the usual sensation and taste of smoking and gives smokers the option of weaning down their nicotine intake.
On sale at Sean’s shop and also on his website is a host of items including batteries,clearomizers and atomizers in various colours, e-Cig accessories, and starter kits.
And his e-Liquids come in a wide range of nicotine strengths and exciting flavours including tobacco, fruits and French ice-cream to give a tastier ‘vaping’ experience.
Sean said: “I’ve had a great local response so far to the shop and seen a lot of people making the switch from ‘smoking’ to ‘vaping’.
“I like to help my customers as much as I can and never let them leave without knowing the ins and outs of what they are buying.”
And after his early success, Sean is keen to develop his business and is already looking at expanding with another shop in Denton to create a franchise.
He added: “It’s proved popular so far and I think I’ve found a gap in the market in Saddleworth where I can really provide a great product for people.”
