BUSINESS IS blossoming for a Delph gardener who swapped law courts for a job in the great outdoors three years ago.
Finn-esse Landscapes has been steadily growing since being set up in 2011 by Steven Finn, who has just employed someone to help him out and bought a second van.
Steven explains: “I was actually in the middle of law exams when my wife went into labour with our first son.
“I’d been balancing part-time studies with working as a full time Paralegal but with fewer opportunities in the industry and a blossoming family to support, I decided to set up my own business and have never looked back.
“I’d always enjoyed gardening so here was an opportunity to convert my hobby into my business.
“Drawing on experience I’d picked up helping out with my father’s landscaping business when I was younger I bought a van and set up Finn-esse.
“Coming from a commercial background I wanted to build up a business based on a solid reputation as I’m well aware that if you don’t look after your customers someone else will!
“I really don’t miss the daily commute or being sat in an office all day. I enjoy my work greatly and find it very rewarding as I believe having a nice garden to sit in on those sunny days really enhances people’s lives.
“We had our second son last November so it seems that as the business grows so does the family and the future looks very promising.”
