A NEW player with a familiar name, promising the best of all worlds for anything to do with the property market, has re-launched.
Cousins have reinvented themselves as a forward looking but still traditional high street estate agency.
New directors Aron Iwanier and Blake Englander have revitalised this once highly active and instantly recognisable brand, fusing the best tradition of a highly personal, bespoke service with high-end marketing tech using up-to-date methods of bringing properties to the widest market.
Colin Murray, formerly of Reeds Rains, is installed as manager at their offices in Failsworth and now on Lees High Street.

“Our core business is estate agency,” confirms Colin. “But we have got more strings to our bow than most ordinary estate agencies.
“We have a strong lettings portfolio as Aron and Blake have 20-odd years in commercial properties.
“I have a corporate background with nearly 30 years’ experience in residential, basically everything to do with buying and selling houses.
“There is a lot to be said for experience and expertise. Online is very good but sometimes you need that hands-on experience they can’t provide but we can.
“We feel we can give a better service based on our experiences and rebuilding.
“Now we would like to offer it to the people of Saddleworth and Lees.”
Aron added: “We want to restore Cousins to where it was historically and look to re-establish a network around Oldham.
“We previously did a lot of business up here so when this opportunity came up we purchased it.
“Of course, it is important to being properly online but there is also a need to provide excellent customer service.
“We don’t turn away any customers. You don’t have to fit into our box to be our customer. We will work with you however you want.
“It is all about delivering the best customer service we can.
“We want to be the first stop for people of Saddleworth and Lees.”
Blake added: “How many estate agents do you see opening up new branches. We are bucking the trend.
“This should give confidence to other estate agents that there is still scope to expand your high street business.
“It is all about local knowledge and information, even down to the nearest butcher’s shop, that an online agent can’t tell you.
“This is about getting Cousins on the map again. We want to provide a good, family service.
“Everyone is welcome to come in and talk business whatever it is.
“Rather than people worrying they can pop in and have a cup of tea and we will put them at ease to any worries they might have.”
• As an introductory offer, Cousins are offering free professional photography. The best way to sell a house is good pictures to highlight the best aspects of the property being sold – first impressions count!
