A DELPH pensioner is looking for love this weekend and millions will be watching to see if Cupid’s arrow finds a target.
Retired policeman Bill, 69, is one of three suitors wooing 30 ladies on the hit ITV show, Take Me Out.
With the help of master matchmaker Paddy McGuinness, Bill, a widower for four years, aims to win a date to the mythical island of Fernando.
For one night only, Paddy will work his magic on a special line-up of ‘Flirty Thirty’ single Golden Girls, all looking for their ‘happily ever after’.
The Golden Girl line-up includes a former nun, an ex-girlfriend of Hollywood-heartthrob Jason Statham, and a single lady on the lookout for husband number six.
Host Paddy joked: “I’m swapping the love lift for a stair lift for this one-off special!
“Proving that it’s never too late to date, I’ve gathered together 30 fabulous older ladies hoping to match with the silver fox of their dreams. It’s a really heart-warming show and a lot of fun.”
Saddleworth romantic Bill, who left the police 13 years ago, faces two love rivals, Lawrence and George, in a bid to win a ladies’ heart.
With seven weddings (soon to be eight!) Take Me Out has played Cupid to many happy couples over the years and is the most successful dating format in the world, selling in 33 territories.
To find out if Paddy finds Bill a date, tune into ITV on Saturday, June 9 at 8pm on ITV.
