Friezland Primary School to open its doors to prospective families

Families with children due to start primary school in September 2027 are being invited to take a closer look at Friezland Primary School during a series of open events.

The Greenfield school will hold four sessions during October and November, giving prospective pupils and their families an opportunity to explore the school and learn more about life at Friezland.

The open events will take place on Thursday, October 1, from 9.15am to 10.15am; Friday, October 16, from 9.15am to 10.15am; Monday, October 19, from 5pm to 6pm; and Friday, November 6, from 9.15am to 10.15am.

Each visit will last around an hour and include a brief presentation, a tour of the school and an opportunity to meet staff and ask questions. Families attending morning sessions will also have the chance to meet pupils.

Doors will open 15 minutes before each session, with refreshments available.

Friezland describes itself as one of Oldham’s smallest primary schools, with an emphasis on a broad and balanced curriculum, pastoral support and developing pupils’ confidence.

The school is currently rated Good by Ofsted.

Families can register their interest and find out more at Friezland School’s website.
