A NETWORKING event with a difference is coming to Saddleworth as a business support group looks to bring together companies in the area.
The Federation of Small Businesses Manchester and North Cheshire Regional Committee is inviting members, their families and friends to their inaugural ‘networking in nature’ ramble.
The outdoor event on Sunday, September 13 will see participants start a circular walk from Saddleworth Museum 11am, going along the Huddersfield Canal and through Diggle.
Ramblers will pause at the Diggle Hotel for light lunch or refreshments before the walk resumes and returns to Uppermill.
The organisation says it is putting on the event for business people either fed up with traditional networking, or for those who just love the great outdoors.
FSB Regional Chairman, Simon Edmondson, said: “This event will provide business owners with a chance to network in a more relaxed, informal setting, and catch-up on local FSB lobbying activities and other events we have planned.
“If the idea of networking in a stuffy room full of suits isn’t for you, hopefully the beautiful Saddleworth countryside will prove a tempting alternative.
“If it’s successful we’ll certainly be doing more of these,” he added.
Non-members are welcome to attend, and the FSB is asking attendees to bring any friends, colleagues or families – children included – who might enjoy the fresh air.
The walk will take no longer than four hours, is not strenuous, and will include a number of comfort breaks.
